GitHub + Slack

Only the access needed to dispatch a review.

Every permission has a specific job. Here is the complete private-beta scope.

GitHub App

Repository permissions.

Each permission maps directly to an observable product capability.

Repository metadata · read

Identify selected repositories, default branches, and repository state.

Contents · read

Build module boundaries and analyze changed code in repositories you enable.

Pull requests · write

Read pull request state and request reviewers. DiffDispatch never merges or changes code.

Organization members · read

Find eligible reviewers and connect GitHub identities to Slack members.

Webhook events

DiffDispatch subscribes to installation, installation repository, push, pull request, pull request review, repository, and membership changes. Delivery IDs are stored for deduplication; duplicate and out-of-order webhooks do not create duplicate assignments.

Slack scopes

chat:write and im:write

Send assignment messages, working-time reminders, and an optional digest.

users:read and users:read.email

Match Slack identities to GitHub members using verified email, with admin correction and self-linking where needed.

channels:read

Let an administrator select a digest destination. The bot must be invited to that channel; DiffDispatch does not request workspace-wide posting access.
